Melancholy also travels on trains

Book review

Poetry book:
“Melancholy also travels on trains” (2018) NY.
It is a set of anti-poems in the style of the poet Nicanor Parra. He shows daily life giving the impression that he is having a debate with his alter ego about philosophical and trivial topics without neglecting any opportunity to make literary and social criticism.
Throughout this work we find the contrast of ideas as a means of transport for their arguments. The author, through his poetry, constructs images by fusing abstract concepts with everyday situations.
This book won third place in poetry in the “North Texas Book Festival” literary competition (Texas-2019).
