Summer camp in Columbus for children learning Spanish

This summer, the Ohio Writers Association (AEO) is pleased to announce the holding of a children’s camp focused on the teaching and practice of the Spanish language, aimed at boys and girls between 6 and 11 years old.
Este encuentro tendrá lugar del 17 al 21 de junio de 2025 en Columbus, Ohio, y está diseñado para ofrecer una experiencia educativa, cultural y recreativa con énfasis en la lengua española.
Over five days, participants will explore the language through recreational, artistic and literary activities.
The main objective of this camp is to reinforce the learning of Spanish as a mother tongue or second language, in an environment that stimulates creativity, oral expression and the love of reading from an early age.
Activities will include storytelling, group dynamics, interactive games, creative writing workshops, reading aloud and crafts, all in Spanish.
The program’s approach is comprehensive and seeks to develop both linguistic and social skills. Through literature, games and imagination, the aim is for children not only to acquire vocabulary and understanding, but also to develop an emotional bond with the language.
The camp will be led by a team with experience in children’s pedagogy and Spanish teaching, in a safe, warm and conducive environment for learning.

This camp is part of our initiatives to strengthen bilingualism, cultural identity and creativity of new generations in the Latino community of Columbus.
