Manuel Iris is a Mexican poet, essayist, and educator residing in Cincinnati, Ohio. He served as the Poet Laureate of Cincinnati from 2018 to 2020. Author of several books of poetry and essays, he is the recipient of the National Poetry Prize Mérida and the National Young Poetry Prize Tijuana, as well as winner of the Ohioana Book Award and the Ambroggio Prize for his bilingual poetry collection The Parting Present / Lo que se irá.
